Learning Management Systems

Learning Management Systems, also known as LMSs, are tools that support collaborative classroom learning through shared course materials, enabling instructor-student, and student-group interaction through coure materials, videos, documents, quizzes, and live media.

Through the current 2016-2017 academic year, the University will support two learning management systems as faculty and student migrate to Canvas from the legacy Chalk system. 

Canvas is an intuitive web application that fosters engagement between instructors and students and offers a means to develop and disseminate course materials to students in very interactive ways. Chalk, as an end-of-life Blackboard Learn Suite™ system, will be decommissioned during the 2017-2018 academic year.
