Technology Recycling

Description: 

The Computer Recycling Program accepts computers, laptops, monitors, keyboards, modems, printers, and scanners. Working computers will be refurbished and donated to local charities and schools. Non-working computers will be processed in an environmentally sound manner, not dumped in a landfill.  Hard drives are wiped or destroyed.

Equipment can be dropped off at one of 3 campus locations:

  • Facilities Services, 5225 S. Cottage Grove Ave., accessible through the loading dock area. Drop-offs can be placed in the red bin marked for ewaste recycling in the loading dock area. 
  • Regenstein Library, 1100 East 57th Street.  Drop-off bin near the battery receptacle.
  • Gordon Center for Integrative Science, 929 East 57th Street.  Drop-off bin located in the west lobby.

We will also pick up a small amount of departmental computer hardware at your campus office location, by appointment.
